… a Usagi Tsukino Cosplay. I started last winter. And in spring 2020 I finished my work. But how did i do it?

First of all you need an idea. I wanted to cosplay Usagi in her schooluniform, because I cosplayed Sailor Moon before. With this idea, I made a drawing of her schooluniform using pictures from the internet. So i was sure that i wouldn’t forget some details. Then i went to a shop and bought a white sweater, but i cut the sleeves off. So I had to get material for new sleeve, too. All in all it cost me 60 euros and there a list of my material:

  • white cloth (1 meter)
  • red cloth for loop (30cm)
  • blue cloth for sailor collar (50com)
  • white ribbon for stripes of sailor collar (1m)
  • blue ribbon for the stripes of wrips (1m)
  • cuff (Bündchenstoff) (30cm)
  • yarn in white and black
Here is a picture where I sewed the new sleeves onto the sweater.

After that i was to busy to finished my work. But a few month later i bought the material for the loop and the sailor collar.

But i had a little problem: the sailor collar wasn’t strechy enough. I would have borrowed everything with my head. Luckily my mom had a brilliant idea. I sewed snaps on the collar of the sweater and on the sailor’s collar. After putting on the sweater, all I have to do is close the buttons.

The last think i needed was a loop. Red material for this and a white yarn. I must tell you that i am pretty proud of my results.

I hope you had a little insight what i did to get this Cosplay. The blue skirt i bought in the internet and my wig is from „lightinbox.com“. But be warned. My wig cost 120 euros. High quality. Of course there are also cheaper ones. Don’t let that stop you. If you really want to make a cosplay, just start!
